Tack Lodge

A stunning ultimate and hand made bespoke bird lodge with a difference designed for those that are passionate lovers of horses and equestrian . This is truly an eye catching stunner with an amazing rustic edge.

This will look superb in a country garden, modern garden, or even taking pride somewhere at the the stables, but wherever you place it your feathered friends will adore their new safe warm home for years to come.

Tack Lodge has a gorgeous rustic little chimney attached to the back of the lodge on the apex roof which is piled with smaller pebbles and adorns a slate capped top with reclaimed lead flashing to the base of the chimney.

As well as the stunning hand picked shiny coated pebbles, a reclaimed slate tiled waxed roof , a solid oak apex with rustic exposed uniformed pins and hand cut reclaimed lead adorns the ridge of the roof with its quirky finial at the end overhanging the gable, Tack Lodge also boasts a pair of stunning double oak doors. Rather than using an oak door surround we have very cleverly used an old horse shoe to complete the door frame which has been reclaimed from our local farrier which is cleaned and wax polished. The oak is then hand cut to the shape of the shoe which is attached with clout nails through the original holes of the shoe and we have added two black japanned screws for quirky little door handles. The entrance is the ultimate wow factor and looks completely unique and rustic. The door mat is cut and waxed and made from a cutting of reclaimed slate.

Tack Lodge has two arched four paned wooden windows one attached to either side of the property which have been carefully coated with epoxy resin to give the impression of glass panes as well as protect them from the elements which look stunningly beautiful and lend themselves well to this lodge.

A cut log slice completes the finish with the name which has been hand inscribed with a pyrography wood burning tool with the name “ Tack Lodge ‘’ which takes pride on the apex of the front of the lodge.

We have completed the finishing touches to Tack Lodge with an old wagon cart wheel lent against the side of the lodge left over from years ago when the working horses used to pull those carts which has been coated with resin to preserve its beauty. A barrel pot filled with plastic weatherproof flowers adds some charisma to the entrance of the lodge, a heap of logs stacked to another side of the lodge, a horse shoe left by the farrier on a tree stump, and a mucking out fork leans carelessly by the entrance door with black wellies idly left by the doormat.

We feel we have captured all the quirky little items to suit our Tack Lodge and the lover of horses to make this rustic gorgeous little lodge stunning and unique for all to admire but most of all we have created a beautiful protective little nesting dwelling for our much loved feathered friends to give them shelter warmth and safety.
