The Bessemer Industrial Wine Rack

Bessemer is originally named from the process of producing steele without fuel dating back to 1856 in Sheffield.
We aim to hold on to our industrial heritage by naming our bottle rack holder The Bessemer.

This really is an unusual looking piece especially for those that love the industrial look mixed with a rustic edge.
The Bessemer lends itself perfectly in a modern interior, country farmhouse, barn, or warehouse conversion bringing in the old with the new.

Constructed with 25 mm chunky French Oak which originates from the French railways still displaying the original bolt holes which we have deliberately left exposed leaving the original rustic edge intact.
If you wish we can fill the original holes with 12 bore spent shots or oak pegs at no extra cost so please advise us.

The reclaimed oak has been hand sanded and layered with satin varnish to give a smooth finish and light sheen which highlights the rustic blackened grain and natural unique beauty of the oak sleeper.
Cast iron pipe fittings have been equally spaced on an angle which are the perfect size to fit the neck
of each wine bottle.
Each fitting is hand polished and lacquered and secured in place with black japanned slotted screws.
A hand stitched Italian thick chunky leather handle adds interest to the top of the rack purely for show adding more dimension to the finished product.
The chunky leather handle is secured in place with screws that are topped with satin black screw covers.
Our small stag head logo is branded into the oak and completes the finished hand made touch to this beautiful piece.

Every piece of oak is different from another and will have different grains, markings, and holes which is why each
cut piece is unique.
