Our “SKEET MIDI” is a stunning handmade charcuterie platter just a smaller version in width to our larger version “SKEET” but still the same length.
The “SKEET MIDI” is also made with reclaimed Belgium oak that runs through the platter horizontally on each side leaving a centre channel that is either filled with one single row of cartridges or two set as a diagonal row…
The reclaimed Belgium Oak is cut from sleepers used on the railway tracks dating back hundreds of years.
Each slice of oak has its own rustic grain which is embedded with blackened brake dust highlighting every aspect of the wood each piece telling a different story !!
Cartridges are set in the centre with a black shimmer resin and if there is space separate primers are added too.
The platter is then completed with layer upon layer of clear resin over the reclaimed oak and cartridges leaving a clear glass finish.
Each horizontal edge of the platter shows the live edges which display the sides of the cartridges from each end.
Two chunky hand stitched trunk style Italian leather handles embossed with our logo stag head are screwed to each end of the platter with brass gold coloured screw covers which match the cartridge shells.
Completed with felt baize to the base of the platter.
